Storing Apple Crumble Muffins
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days, or in the fridge for another extra day or two. Warm them up in the microwave for 15-20 seconds for a warm apple muffin experience!
Baking Muffin Tips
- Don’t over mix the muffin batter. Mixing the batter too much can make your muffins tough, not cook evenly, and give them weird holes and peaked tops.
- Make sure your oven is preheated 10-15 minutes before you transfer them to the oven to get the rise in your muffins you desire.
- By placing the crumble mix in the fridge, it helps make the butter and sugars solidify so you can crumble the crumble topping into fine or thicker chunks and it helps the butter not melt into the muffins as much, so you get more of the crumbly effect!
More Variations
- Add some walnuts or pecans for extra texture and nuttiness to your muffins!
- Switch out the apples with blueberries for blueberry muffins! You can also sub raspberries, peaches, blackberries or strawberries as well!
