Ingredients You Need For Red White & Blue M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies
Best Red White and Blue M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies
- unsalted butter
- granulated sugar
- brown sugar
- eggs
- vanilla extract
- all purpose flour or gluten free 1 to 1 flour for gluten free cookies
- baking soda
- salt
- red white and blue m&ms
- chocolate chips of choice, I used semi-sweet chocolate chips and white chocolate chips
- Optional: Red white and blue sprinkles, can be added into the cookie dough or added to the top of the cookies
How to Make Best Red White and Blue M&M Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
- First, preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line 2 baking pans with parchment paper.
- Using a mixer, beat cubes of cold butter with sugars for 2 to 3 minutes until butter is mixed in well.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract. Continue mixing to combine.
- Add in flour, baking soda and salt. Cookie dough should be thick and mixed together with no flour streaks.
- Mix in chocolate chips, m&ms and optional: sprinkles if you like.
- Using ice cream or large cookie scoop, (¼ cup or about 4 tablespoons worth) and scoop dough and place at least 2 inches apart on lined pan.
- If desired, add more m&ms, chocolate chips and sprinkles on the tops at this time or immediately after the cookies have baked, if you want to add more color and visuals.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookie edges are lightly golden and the middles are set. Do not over bake these cookies. Cookies will firm up slightly while cooking.
- Remove from oven. Allow cookies to cool on pan for 10 minutes. Carefully transfer them to a cooling wire rack to finish cooling.
- Can make red white and blue chocolate chip cookies smaller, just adjust time for less baking time.

- 2 eggs

- 3 ½ cups all purpose flour or gluten- free 1 to 1 flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips of choice add more to tops if desired.
- 1 ½ cups Red, White and Blue M&M's add more to tops if desired.
- Optional Red, White and Blue Sprinkles add more to tops and/or add to cookie dough for more color
