Storing Apple Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal Bars

  • Fridge or Room Temperature: Made with staple pantry items, these are so easy to make and they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 days or in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
  • To freeze, allow the baked oatmeal to cool completely, then slice into bars.  Store in individual portions in freezer-safe ziplock bags or containers, then thaw in the fridge overnight before enjoying.

More Variations

  • Want Healthier? You can make this even healthier if you use Lakanto sugars for the granulated and brown sugar and swap out some of the quick oats with some whole grain oats, rolled oats or gluten-free oats.
  • Other Mix-ins: The cinnamon chips could easily be replaced with a teaspoon of cinnamon if you don’t have cinnamon chips, as well as chocolate, peanut butter, butterscotch or salted caramel chips. Raisins, dried cranberries or cherries or almonds, walnuts or pistachios would be excellent add-ins as well.  You can control what you put in them when adding in your favorite add-ins!
  • Not a fan of apples? Swap them out for your favorite fruit for a sweet treat like blueberries!
  • More decadence?  Warm them up in the microwave topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle or two of caramel sauce or almond butter.
