Fudge Brownies

  1. In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, or in a saucepan set over low heat, combine the butter and sugar, and heat, stirring, until the butter is melted. Continue to heat (or microwave) briefly, just until the mixture is hot (about 110°F to 120°F), but not bubbling. Mixture should be smooth and shiny.
  2. Using a mixer, beat eggs at medium speed with the cocoa, salt, baking powder, and vanilla for about 1 minute, or until smooth.
  3. Add the hot butter/sugar mixture to the egg/cocoa mixture, stirring until smooth.
  4. Add the flour, stirring until smooth.
  5. Spoon the batter into a lightly greased 9″ x 13″ pan.

  1. In the video you mention buttermilk in the frosting recipe. But there is no buttermilk listed in the recipe. Do you use buttermilk in the frosting recipe?

  2. These look amazing! Clarification around the butter, is it 1 cup plus 16 tbsp or ??? Thanks and looking forward to trying this out 🙂

  4. Oooh, I cannot resist that fluffy frosting with marshmallows! It’s a cup of cocoa along with your fudgy brownie! Perfect! I’m pretty sure i could eat most of that 9×13 myself. ????

  5. Hi Kathi, I’ve updated which ones are gluten-free, however a lot of them are not vegan, which if you are not affected by gluten, feel free to use all purpose flour and any kind of marshmallows. If gluten-free use a good gluten-free flour like suggested and gluten-free marshmallows as suggested in the post. I hope I answered question, thanks so much! xo

  6. Marshmallows aren’t GF. You would need to look for the kind that are GF.

Do you have this recipe that is not GF?

    Thank you,

  7. Frosted brownies are my favorite! I think I need to make a batch of these right now so I can have one with my coffee!
