Whipped Topping Tips When Making Your Oreo Cream Pie

  • I did use Cool Whip on this particular pie, because it was meant to be a really fast pie you could throw together in a matter of minutes. I usually make my own whipped cream in most of my dessert recipes when it’s needed and if you want to do that too, you can easily make your own whipped cream.  It only takes a few minutes to whip it up if you do <—Included in the directions in the recipe below. All you need is some heavy cream, powdered sugar and some vanilla and voila!
  • For a fun twist, put the whipped cream in a pastry bag and pipe it on top to make my whipped cream look pretty.  But, it’s totally ok just to slather it on top and smooth it out some and then just add your OREO bits as well. You now have a delicious no bake chocolate cream oreo pie recipe.
  • More chocolate?  Add a tablespoon or two to your whipped cream you add to the top of the pie!

More Variations

  • Add chocolate shavings, chocolate curls or semi-sweet chocolate chips for some added chocolate flavor instead of the oreo cookie crumbs on top or add all of the above!  Don’t rule out m&m’s or sprinkles!  They are always a fun way to celebrate birthdays and add a layer of yum!
  • Love fruit and chocolate?  Add some seasonal fresh fruit for a divine way to represent your pie
  • Add vanilla extract to the whipped topping, because why not?
  • When it comes to the chocolate pudding filling, you can always use vanilla, banana or coconut pudding instead.

These kind of tempting oreo pudding pie desserts don’t stay around for very long.  Easy Dreamy Oreo Chocolate Cream Pie is deemed family favorites and it’s no wonder with that smooth chocolate filling texture!  🙂

  1. This is how I do it but I use the store bought oreo crust and don’t put cookies on top. It’s the only pie my whole family will eat.

  2. This looks so dreamy and I love that it’s quick to make, too. Perfect for unplanned dinners or guests coming over. Even better that it’s a cream pie with OREOS! my GF oreos would work well in this 😀

  3. I love the fact that it requires so few ingredients and can be made quickly. And the ingredients can be found in any store too. In hate recipes where they expect you to buy weird ingredients. This looks lovely and delicious!
