Peanut butter is a staple in the pantry and it gets ugly when we get down to the last spoonful. Thank goodness that doesn’t happen too often.

It’s an easy creamy peanut butter fudge you can make without much complication. It’s made in the microwave and we all know the mighty microwave is a miracle of convenience that we love to take advantage of whenever possible.
This peanut butter fudge recipe is perfect whenever you want to make a treat that is easy to prepare. It’s a quick and easy peanut butter fudge recipe, what’s not to love?
And lastly, to make this Easy Buckeye Fudge ‘Buckeye Official’, don’t hate me for adding a scrumptious layer of chocolate fudge on top as well. You don’t have to add it. But, it’s in my second nature to add chocolate to pretty much everything I can get away with.

Ingredients You Need
Peanut Butter Layer
- butter, softened
- creamy peanut butter
- pure vanilla extract
- powdered sugar
Chocolate Layer
- milk chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips
- butter, softened
- sweetened condensed milk (½ of a 14 ounce can of Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk)
Double recipe to use the whole can of sweetened condensed milk.
How to Make Buckeye Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge
- Prepare an 8” or 9” pan greasing with butter or line with parchment paper.
Peanut Butter Fudge Layer
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add the peanut butter, butter and vanilla and melt in the microwave for 90 seconds.
- Stir to combine until smooth and creamy using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon.
- Add the powdered sugar a cup at a time and stir to incorporate thoroughly.
- Transfer peanut butter mixture to the prepared pan and press into the pan with your hands or use an offset spatula.
Chocolate Fudge Layer
- In a microwave bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30 second increments until melted about a total of 1 minute to 1-½ minutes. Add in butter and sweetened condensed milk and stir until smooth and creamy.
- Pour over the peanut butter fudge.
- Let cool at room temperature at least 4 hours before cutting, or chill in the refrigerator for faster set up time.
- Cut into bite size servings and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
How to Serve Buckeye Fudge Tips
- Set the fudge on the counter and let it warm at room temperature for a few minutes before slicing into bite-size pieces for nice even slices of fudge.
- Cutting it cold right out of the fridge; the layers may separate.
- I used an 8″ pan and cut in 48 pieces. Fudge was thick, which I prefer, but if you want a thinner fudge, use a 9″ pan.
Storing Fudge
Store chocolate peanut butter fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
