Ingredients You Need

healthy flourless & (optional – Gluten-Free) Monster Cookies Recipe

  • crunch or creamy peanut butter, like Jif, Skippy or any Natural Peanut Butter
  • unsalted butter or applesauce
  • brown sugar
  • eggs
  • vanilla extract
  • quick oats / gluten-free quick oats or you can also use old-fashioned oats/gluten-free old-fashioned oats, or ½ & ½ quick and old-fashioned oats, depending on texture you like. Add up to ¼ extra oats for thicker cookies.
  • baking soda
  • baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • semisweet chocolate chips
  • M&M’s
  • additional add-ins like nuts, candies, raisins, etc. (I used more M&M’s and chocolate chips.

How to Make Healthy Flourless Peanut Butter Monster Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a large bowl, cream peanut butter, butter and sugars until well blended and smooth and then beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Add in the baking soda, baking powder, oats and salt and mix together. Will be on the runny side.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips, m&ms and whatever add-ins you want.
  5. Use a large cookie scoop – ¼ cup scoop or drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 6 large cookies per baking sheet lining with parchment paper.
  6. Bake cookies for 12-14 minutes or until edges are browned. Let sit on cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing. Remove from pans with spatula to wire racks to cool. Store in airtight containers.
  7. These healthy flourless monster cookies freeze well too!

Instructions for Storing and Freezing Monster Cookies

  • Transfer cooled cookies to airtight container and keep them at room temperature for 1-2 days.
  • You can also store the cookies in the fridge or freezer.  To freeze the cookies, again make sure they are cooled down completely. Place them in a sealed container lined with wax or parchment paper, or a freezer-safe bag.  You can keep them in the freezer for up to 2 months.
  • To avoid breaking the cookies, put them in a single layer.  When you want to eat them, let them thaw out at room temperature and then enjoy!

Flourless Jumbo Peanut Butter Monster Cookies! {Healthy}

Cookie Sizes

  • These flourless monster cookies are made (1/4 cup) jumbo size, but you can make them whatever size your little heart desires.  But whatever size cookies you decide on, bring out that big glass of milk and enjoy these super, delicious and easy cookies right from the oven warm! 
  • For smaller cookies, reduce time to 8-10 minutes, medium cookies bake 10-12 minutes and large cookies bake 12-14 minutes.

More Variations & Tips

  • Besides chocolate chips, there are always other chip or candy options!  Butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips for more peanut butter flavor for sure and mini m&m candies!
  • Chewy add-ins?  Go for raisins, dried cranberries or dried cherries!
  • If you love nutty, healthy crunchy vibes – then add some chopped pistachios, walnuts, pecans, chia seeds, or rice krispies in your cookie dough!
  • Make sure not to overload the cookies with too many add-ins!  Too many may affect the cookie texture!
  • For gluten-free monster cookies, use gluten-free oats!  Easy-peasy!

  • ¾ cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter use sugar free or natural peanut butter for healthier option
  • ¼ cup butter or 1/4 cup applesauce, softened
  • cup packed brown sugar or use your favorite healthy sweetener
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 & ⅓ cups quick oats or gluten-free quick oats Or, you can use old-fashioned oats or gluten-free old-fashioned oats. You can also use a mix of quick and old-fashioned oats, or add more oats for thicker cookies. Choose the type of oats based on how you want your cookie texture to be.  For chewier - go with old-fashioned.
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 generous pinch of salt add 1/2 teaspoon if you want more salty flavor
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup M&M's or reese's pieces
  • ½ cup additional add-ins like nuts, candies, raisins, etc. (I used more M&M's and chocolate chips.
