I love banana anything so I tried making these today. My only deviation from the recipe was that I used brown sugar (I was fresh out of regular sugar) and mine turned out very flat and dense, not fluffy at all. Would using brown sugar cause that difference in consistency? Or do you any suggestions as to where I could have gone wrong?
I use unsalted but you could use salted, just omit salt when it’s called out in desserts. Hope you enjoy Renee!!
These sound great and I planning to make them. Just wondering whether you use Salted or Unsalted butter.
Jodi, great to hear! Thank you for adding to your list of favorite cakes, that is awesome and I appreciate it so much. 🙂
I made these banana bars yesterday to take to work. They tasted amazing, then paired with the delicious cream cheese frosting, they were so good. I had so many compliments from co-workers, they were gone before lunch. I used 2 bananas and I felt that was a perfect amount ~ not too strong banana taste, but perfect. They were dense, but I loved that. I will definitely be adding this recipe to my list of favorite cakes. Thanks for the great recipe!!
Texture of a Twinkie?! Count me in!!! These banana bars definitely sound heavenly. Pinning! Xoxo 🙂
Enjoy!!
I am excited to make this?
Thanks Teresa! I hear you! I have some more as we speak! 😉
I’m sure I will be making these soon! We always have bananas that need to be used up!
