Hi Kolene!
I think with this recipe you could do that. I might not use the whole can of them but use your judgement. Hope you enjoy!
Kim
I really want to make this but I only have a can of Apple pie filling. Will this work in place of real apples? If not do you have a recipe that canned apples will work in.?
Hi Jeff, if I wanted to make an easy, yet cheap danish to make, I would do this Lemon Cream Cheese Crescent. It’s easy as well. Just substitute some drained crushed pineapple for the lemon and lemon peel. I would also increase the cream cheese and make it 8 oz. If you are looking for a coffee cake, I would try this Strawberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake and replace the strawberries with crushed pineapple. Both should be amazing! Of course if you used this recipe here for the apple crumb cheese coffee cake, again just replace the apples with crushed pineapple. 🙂
I am looking for a recipe for pineapple cheese Danish or coffee cake. I am retired and go to this bakery which sells the best pineapple cheese Danish I have ever had. The drawback is that they are very expensive. So I would like to try and make my own if I can find a recipe. Thank You
You are so welcome Jeremy! I’m so happy you love it!! Happy Thanksgiving to you!!

OMG doesn’t even cover it for this cake! You combined a crumb cake, a cheesecake, and a coffee cake all in ONE flipping cake? You’re a culinary genius if I say so myself! This recipe is the epitome of indulgence goodness! YUM
Perfect week end treat ! Thank you dear Kim !
