  • 1 loaf French bread or any bread like challah or sourdough can be used. (about 10 cups worth)
  • eggs
  • milk of choice
  • heavy cream
  • granulated sugar
  • vanilla

How to Make Overnight French Toast Recipe

 French Toast Bake

  1. Cut loaf into cubes and set aside in a large bowl.
  2. In another bowl or blender, mix together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar and vanilla. Pour evenly over bread and cover bowl with Saran Wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Cinnamon Topping

  1. Mix together flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl or food processor.
  2. Cut in butter with this mixture until crumbly and place in a Ziploc bag and refrigerate overnight as well.

How to Assemble French Toast Casserole

  1. Grease or spray 9×13 baking pan and add soaked bread mixture to baking pan and spread out evenly.
  2. Sprinkle crumbly mixture evenly over the bread mixture.
  3. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on how soft you like your French toast. I baked mine for 50 minutes an it was awesome. Great the next day as well!
