More Variations, Substitutions & Tips For Our Pistachio Brownie Recipe
- Brownie Ideas: We used a boxed Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix Family Size or these Betty Crocker™ Favorites Dark Chocolate Brownie Mix, both of these are awesome brownies, but you can use any boxed brownies that will bake in a 9×9 baking pan. You can also make a homemade brownie recipe like our Fudgy Chocolate Chunk Brownies!
- Crunchy Nutty Pistachio Brownies: Can also add some pistachio nuts in the brownie batter if you want more pistachio love!
- Chocolate Chip Love: Add some chocolate chips to your brownie batter if you want even more chocolate! Can we ever have enough?
- Tip For Pistachio Ganache: The pistachio white ganache will firm up quickly, so make sure you are using room temperature or warmed up heavy cream when you add it to the white chocolate, because as you mix it up to fully combine, it will thicken up fast.
- Stove Top Boiler Method for Melting Chocolate for Ganaches: The chocolate for the ganaches can also be heated on the stovetop. Just melt the chocolate on the stove, use the “double boiler” method by filling a saucepan with a small amount of water, bring it to a simmer over low heat, then place a heatproof bowl on top of the pot, ensuring it doesn’t touch the water. Add the chopped chocolate or chocolate chips to the bowl and stir gently until melted, removing from heat once fully melted; this method provides gentle, even heat to prevent burning the chocolate. Add the warmed up heavy cream and whisk together until fully combined.
- Tip For Chocolate Ganache: The same goes with the chocolate ganache, make sure you are using room temperature or warmed up heavy cream when you add it to the white chocolate, because as you mix it up to fully combine, it will thicken up fast.
- Flavor Boost: Add a boost of flavor to your white chocolate ganache by adding a yummy teaspoon vanilla extract if you desire.
