About Our Santa’s Reindeer Puppy Chow
Here comes Santa Claus, Here comes Santa Claus, right down Reindeer Lane! Santa’s gearing up for that special night before Christmas and do you know what snack Reindeer love the most? Santa’s Yummy Reindeer Chow!!
They only get it on that magical night on Christmas Eve because it’s addicting as hell. And if he gave it to the reindeer all the time, they probably wouldn’t be able to fly like they do.
(Shhhh….Don’t tell anyone, but Santa eats it all the time, so that might explain why he looks like he does, ya think?) But since it’s a very special time of the year, Santa whips up his own special concoction of Santa’s Yummy Reindeer Chow for his beloved Reindeer and it makes them jump for major glee–like over-the-world glee!
Reindeer are awesome, don’t you think? Rudolph, of course, is the most famous; then you have Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen. A very magical team, for a very magical night.
To get in that magical mood, you can make these in a flash and promptly, give them away as gifts, Christmas party-time or movie-time watching Rudolph and all your favorite Christmas shows or Hallmark Channel, my personal favorite.
Everyone will go ga-ga over our puppy chow of Chex cereal coated in chocolate, peanut butter, cocoa powder, powdered sugar with super yummy goodies like marshmallows, red and green m&m candies, pretzels and whopper candies! Notes
Nutrition
You could use Sunbutter or Nutella would work lovely.
Is there something that could be used instead of peanut butter?
It is very delicious! You will love it! Thanks for commenting and Happy Holidays Marilyn! xo
Sounds. Like a very delicious snack I need to try this one
Great to hear! That’s awesome and thank you!
Used this for gifts, it was a hit!
No, cool whip wouldn’t work Janna. You would need to use a peanut butter substitute like WOWbutter or Sunbutter for substituting. You should be able to order it over Amazon or see if your local walmart or Target might have it. Hope that helps!
This is great..but what can I substitute for the peanut butter. No peanut butter at school…would cool whip work?
Yes that would be great idea Kelly! 😀 It’s addicting…LOL!
What a fun snack! I would gladly munch on this while decorating the Christmas tree!! Mmm 🙂
Hi Terry! The Kitchen has a great article on substitutes for peanut butter. I love this!

what can I substitute for the peanut butter?
Hi Denise! Thank you! I love that idea! 🙂
Do you think they would keep ok in a mason jar? Sound delicious!
Hi Donna! Up to a week @ room temperature and make sure they are sealed very well. 🙂
How long does this stay fresh if they are put into goodie bags?
Hi Jackie! I would say anywhere between 12-18 cups depending on how many cups of the pretzels, marshmallows and whoppers you add in and how much you want to to gift. 🙂 I hope they enjoy it! 🙂
Do you know about how much this makes? I want to give as Christmas presents and need to gigure out bag sizes and how many I can get out of a batch. Thank you!
