Why We Love These Reese’s Loaded Peanut Butter Bars
Easy to make recipe with all our peanut butter faves inside like Reese’s peanut butter cups, Reese’s Pieces and even peanut butter chips! YUM!
I took my “Phenomenal” Milk Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies and made them into bars, because this actual peanut butter cookie recipe is literally, the bomb!
They are my favorite bakery-style peanut butter cookies transformed into bars and you can whip these up in no time for your favorite peeps!
These are the perfect party bars for your Halloween bash, Birthday, tailgating parties, Thanksgiving holiday and weekend baking! Can you believe Halloween is coming up already? It will be Christmas before you know it. Yikes!
The autumn festive colors fit right into your fall theme, but hey!…you can definitely make these all year round, because I don’t think too many people are going to turn these down. They taste incredibly delicious and tempting.
Ingredients You Need
Reese’s Loaded Peanut Butter Bars
- unsalted butter
- granulated sugar
- brown sugar
- peanut butter, creamy or crunchy
- eggs
- vanilla extract
- all-purpose flour – measure the flour correctly
- baking soda
- salt
- white chocolate chocolate chips
- peanut butter chips
- Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- Reese’s Candy Pieces
How To Make Loaded Peanut Butter Cookie Bars
- Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper lightly sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
- Using a mixer, mix the butter, sugars, peanut butter, eggs and vanilla together until combined.
- Add in the flour, soda, and salt in and mix until just combined. Make sure you measure flour correctly, or cookies will be dry & crumbly. (Fluff flour, spoon flour into cup and level off with a knife.)
- Fold in most of the chocolate chips & & Reese’s PB Cups and Candy Pieces. (Reserve some for the tops.)
- Transfer cookie dough to pan. Add some additional chocolate chips & Reese’s PB Cups and Candy Pieces on top if you wish.
- Bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until top is set. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean, or with a few moist crumbs, but no batter.
- Allow thick peanut butter bars to cool in pan for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
Pan Sizes – Servings
- Good thing we made these into a 9×13 pan-size.It seems like the perfect batch size for peanut bar snacking, sweet cravings and especially parties and holidays, giving you plenty of servings, maybe some leftovers if you’re lucky. 24 bars worth, unless you want bigger.
- For a smaller batch, use an 8 or 9 inch pan-size for 9 to 12 bars.
Storing & Freezing Bars
- These Reese’s bars will keep well in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Major Key Player Tips
When you make these Reese’s peanut butter bars, make sure you measure the flour correctly to get the perfect texture for soft and thick bars. Adding too much flour make bars, cookies and cakes crumbly and dry.
- Fluff up the flour in it’s container before scooping it out, so the flour isn’t packed.
- Spoon the flour gently into your measuring cup.
- Level the flour out with a knife by sliding it across the top of the measuring cup.
Don’t over bake the bars to get the best soft and chewy texture you’re looking for! Bars will continue to bake after you pull them from the oven.
To get nice bar cuts, let the bars cool completely.
