Ingredients You Need For S’mores Cereal Bars Recipe
- golden grahams cereal – a delicious graham cracker cereal
- salted butter

- Hershey’s milk chocolate bars
Instructions How to Make No Bake S’mores Graham Cereal Bars
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line. Can also line with parchment paper for easy removal. Set aside.
- In a large saucepan or large pot over low heat, melt butter most of the way.
- Save out 1 cup of marshmallows and add the remaining marshmallows to the butter and stir until you have a melted marshmallow mixture.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in cereal until combined.
- Add remaining 1 cup marshmallows and fold in to combine.
- Next, add a few scoops of mixture to the bottom of the prepared pan, quickly and gently press mixture down to make somewhat of a layer, it doesn’t have to be perfectly touching the sides of the pan. Add some of the chocolate bars and then add remainder of cereal mixture on top and gently press cereal into baking dish, without smushing too much or bars will be too hard to cut.
- Layer remaining chocolate bars on top randomly. If you don’t have chocolate bars, you could drizzle melted chocolate on top or add milk chocolate chips.
- Let cool to room temperature before cutting and serving.
Other Tips for the Best S’mores Cereal Bars Recipe
- I made my s’more cereal bars large sized. I made this in a 9×13 pan and cut 8 super large squares. But you can cut these into 18 squares for smaller bites, depending what you making them for. Either way, these are a really super yummy treats any size. 🙂
- If you’re having trouble with the cereal sticking to your hands when you are pressing the cereal into the pan, lightly spray them with nonstick baking spray. Also, you can place parchment paper on top to light press mixture down as well.
- Don’t have Hershey’s Candy Bars? Can use ½ – ¾ cup milk chocolate chips add them in step 6. Also, you could drizzle some melted chocolate on top of the bars or just add milk chocolate chips.
- I used salted butter, you can use unsalted butter, but add 1/4 teaspoon or less to make up for the salt in this recipe.
- I didn’t add vanilla extract, but if you wish to add some extra oomph, feel free to toss in a teaspoon after you melt the marshmallows.
- Use fresh marshmallows to get best gooey texture! The gooey texture definitely changes if you use stale or old marshmallows.
- Don’t smush the bars down too much into your prepared baking dish, as you want the marshmallow to get in all the nooks and crannies as it’s cooling down. But they should be also be firm to hold up, so there you go! I’m ready for my snack!
