Ingredients Spider Chocolate Graham Cookies
- 20 oz. Ghirardelli Chocolate Melting Wafers or 2 cups Chocolate Chips semi-sweet or milk or combination
- 16 graham crackers
- 2 cups white chocolate chips or Ghirardelli White Melting Wafers
- optional: oil like canola vegetable or coconut to thin out chocolate (1 – 2 teaspoons)
- Gummy Spiders (There are Sour Gummy Spiders too!)
How to Make Spider Chocolate Graham Cookies
- Prepare 1-2 baking sheets and line with parchment paper, set aside.
- Place chocolate chocolate chips or wafers in microwave-safe container.
- Microwave chocolate for 1 minute. Stir thoroughly (product keeps its original shape until stirred). If not completely melted, continue to microwave at 30 second intervals and stir until smooth. Add 1 – 2 teaspoons of canola or oil of choice to thin the chocolate if it’s super thick. AND Overheating will cause chocolate to seize, so be mindful of that.
-
Dip graham crackers one a time coating the graham cracker on both sides, using a fork and place on parchment paper.
- Melt white chocolate chips, same method as step 3.
-
Working quickly, spoon the melted white candy melts or chocolate chips into a resealable plastic bag and cut off a small corner. Pipe 4 or 5 concentric circles and then drag a toothpick from the center of the circle to the outermost circle in several places to create a spiderweb design. Repeat, working quickly, until the cookies are covered in the spiderweb pattern.
- Add a gummy spider on top of each of the cookies.
- Refrigerate until set, about 15 minutes. Leave in fridge or cool storage area until ready to party!

I know exactly what you mean Katherine! When they first came out with spiders and worm gummies I couldn’t eat them. I got over it, but it took a long time! 🙂 thanks and yes, your kids would love these! xo
Spiders always freak me out so much Kim, even candy ones! Haha. But I would be willing to try them for the kids because they’d LOVE these. Plus how fun!
