Best Brownies for Brownie Hoarders!
This easy homemade brownie recipe is so awesomely good, you might definitely become a brownie hoarder! How would you like that title? I’ve been called worse, so I’m perfectly fine to take it on that title over others. ha!
No need for chocolate chips, because these brownies are rich and perfect enough not to include them. We used unsweetened cocoa powder, which is a favorite for professional bakers. It has a strong bittersweet chocolate taste, a dark reddish-brown shade, and a fudgy flavor that brings out the natural chocolate flavor in cakes, desserts, pastries and of course brownies!
Happily, these brownies are not over the top sugary either! They are pretty much the perfect brownies! This is the perfect easy brownie recipe!

Thank you so much Abigail! I hope you find them super easy and yummy! xo
Wow, these brownies look delicious. I look forward to making these soon.
So happy you thought they were so good Tiggy! I love the idea of the Himayalan salt and the peanut butter is always a great option! You can always add less sugar next time as well. Thank you so much for your feedback!! xo
These brownies were so good! They cooked in the recommended time, which isn’t common in the past recipes I have used, so kootos for that. They were pretty sweet, so before i out them in i put some Himilian sea salt which evened out the taste. I think peanut butter would also be good to out on after they come out. Lots of thanks! my household loved them! ????????
Thank you Hila!!
Just wanted to let you know in step 4, you wrote “and” twice.
Otherwise, I love this!!
Thank you so much Mellie! That makes my day!! xo
This was the perfect, quintessential, addictive brownie. No more boxed for me. A million thanks.
I would triple it for thicker brownies, for thinner, double recipe. Baking time will increase for thicker brownies.
Can I make these brownies in a sheet pan? If so, would I double or triple the recipe?
Thanks!
Those are the most awesome, coolest comments ever! 🙂 Thank you so much for trying them Bonnie and I am so honored that you want to save the recipe! Makes my day for sure! I love the Reeses and salt! YUM!!
So easy and so good. (Takes maybe 10 minutes to put together.) My kids went CRAZY for them. Their comments were “heaven”, ” a million out of a million” and ” everytime you make brownies, make these.” I didn’t have vanilla either of the 2 times I made them so I added a tsp of instant coffee. The second time I made them, I put reeses pieces on top and sprinked a bit of sea salt on top before popping them in the oven and they were the best! I think it’s a really durable base recipe that you can add whatever you want and it will still amaze people. (My favorite is the salt on top.) I’m saving this recipe for the next family or school event. Thank you!
Awesome Christina! Thank you so much for trying it and I’m so happy to hear your review!
Great tasting! I tripled recipe.. put in 13×9 pan greased. Baked at 350 for 37min ????
Awesome with ice cream I’m sure! Thank you so much for trying the recipe Anthony! That makes me so happy!
First time making them from scratch and they smell amazing and the batter tasted great!!! Getting ready to devour them with some vanilla bean ice cream.
I made these for my boys and they absolutely loved them. I have a red copper brownie pan and its pretty big so I doubled your recipe and they came out perfect. Will definitely be making these again!
Thank you so much! I can relate to your chocolate lovers! So happy to hear they loved it and you are very welcome! xo
Im always searching for a brownie recipe for my chocolate lovers (sons) and they loved it! Thank you
Delicious! I normally use a box and was out so I decided to make homemade for the first time. These were great! I loved that the ingredients were all things I already had in my kitchen. I’ve made them twice now (in One week ????). The first time I used regular unsweetened cocoa because I didn’t read her recommendation. The second time I used dark but cut the sugar down to 1 cup. There’s nothing wrong with the original amount; it was just a little too rich for me because I tend to eat a lot at once. So good! They remind me of the ghirardelli brownies. My husband is super picky and he loves them!
I’m so happy your tried them and found them easy to make! I love your description 🙂
You son and husband have good taste! Happy holidays to you and your family Sara! Thank you!
My 6 year old wanted to make brownies tonight after dinner. I didn’thave any box mix on hand. This recipe was great because I had everything I needed in my pantry. It was easy to follow. My 6 year old and 3 year old both enjoyed helping me make these brownies. They came out amazing!! My husband loves brownies and he said these were better than any box mix he’s had. They were fudge, yet crunch on top. Absolutely my favorite brownies mix and will now be my go to.
I’m excited to hear that Jodi! Thank you so much for your review and your comment! Happy Holidays! 🙂
