- Greek yogurt
- Silk Dark Chocolate Almond Milk (if you don’t have chocolate almond milk, just substitute unsweetened almond milk and add some cocoa powder)
- frozen banana, make sure you’re using ripe bananas
- raspberries, frozen or fresh
- chia seeds
- Crushed ice
- optional, add some maple syrup, or agave if you want more sweetness
How to Make Dark Chocolate Raspberry & Banana Smoothie
- Using a blender or food processor, blend all ingredients, (except chia seeds, if unsoaked) until nice and smooth starting with milk and then blend until smooth and creamy.
- Add ice if you want more of a frozen smoothie.
- Add more almond milk if needed.
- Add chia seeds, if unsoaked or soaked and mix in with smoothie.
More Variations
- You can add a scoop of protein powder to your smoothie for even more protein, like chocolate protein powder!
- Add a couple tablespoons of nut butter, like peanut butter, cashew butter, or any seed butter you like for some extra protein.

Super Healthy Dark Chocolate, Raspberry & Banana Smoothie {Greek Yogurt, Chia Seeds & Protein!}
Ingredients
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 cup Silk Dark Chocolate Almond Milk
- 1 frozen medium banana chunks
- ½ cup frozen raspberries add more if desired
- 1 tablespoon soaked chia seeds or 1 teaspoon dry unsoaked works fine as well.
- optional 1/2 cup crushed ice
- optional 1 scoop protein powder
Instructions
- Using a blender,blend all ingredients, chocolate almond milk, Greek yogurt, frozen banana, frozen raspberries and some almond milk. Don't add the chia seeds until the end. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- If you don't use frozen fruits, add ice if you want more of a frozen smoothie.
- Add more almond milk if needed if you want to thin down or need more creaminess.
- Add chia seeds, if unsoaked or soaked and mix in with smoothie. Enjoy!
Laura, it does make them softer and easier to chew, but maybe you want to grind them up beforehand in a food processor or blender before adding to your smoothie. I know those seeds can really mess you up when you have that, so I would definitely do that if it was me! 🙂
After you soak the seeds does that make them softer and easier to chew? I have diverticulitis and have to watch out for seeds and nuts. Looks good though.
