S’mores desserts are  just one of those things we all love and will never outgrow! They have brought families together around the fire since the recipe was first published in the Girl Scouts handbook in 1927.

National S’mores Day is August 10!  S’mores are the best delicious, ooey-gooey, all-American-treat, smooshed all together, consisting of delicious Hershey’s milk chocolate, crisp graham crackers and toasted gooey marshmallows.  Yum!

I first saw these S’more cookies on Pinterest. *really?* I knew I had to make these because I’m obsessed with s’more ingredients together!  —>  Chocolate, marshmallow and graham crackers!!

I got the recipe from Jen (and her adorable French bulldog) at  CarlsBad Cravings.   My son has one too and her name is Princess Xena, so I’m partial to French bulldogs!

How to make S’more Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Using an electric mixer, cream together butter and sugars; mix in egg and vanilla.
  2. Add flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking soda and salt and mix together until smooth and add to creamed mixture and beat until just incorporated.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Using a large cookie scoop, scoop cookie dough onto cookie sheet about 3 inches apart.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and quickly press marshmallows into cookies.
  7. Return to oven and cook until done, about 3-4 minutes.
  8. After a few minutes, add broken Hershey bars to each of the cookies.
  9. Let cool.
