- 4 large ripe bananas mashed
- 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup peanut butter divided, 3/4 cup in brownies and 1/4 cup for top of brownies
- ½ to 1 cup dark chocolate chunks or chips - Gives these brownies extra chocolatey flavor!
- Optional: 3 tablespoons agave syrup or maple syrup optional if you want brownies sweeter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease an 8-inch pan with non-stick cooking spray. If you want easy removal, line the pan with parchment paper and then spray with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, mash up 4 large ripe bananas.
Add the 6 tablespoons of the unsweetened cocoa powder and ¾ cup of the peanut butter to the mashed bananas and if you want the brownies sweeter, add 3 tablespoons of the agave syrup/maple syrup and mix together until combined. Add chocolate chunks or chips if desired.
Transfer the brownie mixture to the prepared baking pan.
Melt ¼ cup of the peanut butter in the microwave for 20 seconds so it has a drippy consistency and pour on top of the brownies, then take a knife and swirl the peanut butter into the brownies.
Bake brownies for 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven and let them cool, then slice into bars! Enjoy!
